HEP Citizens Advisory Committee

Image

Community engagement and effective public participation is a critical goal for the Estuary Program.  The main mechanism for citizen input into the program is the Citizens Advisory Committee (CAC).  The CAC provides guidance and advice to the Management Committee and Policy Committee on Program decision making; assists the Management Committee in developing and implementing the Action Agenda; and promotes public awareness and understanding of the Program’s issues, goals, and recommendations. On occasion, the CAC will independently take position on issues affecting Estuary.  Chairs are elected by the Committee membership. The CAC holds two seats on the Management Committee and has one representative to the Policy Committee. The CAC has by-laws guiding the group’s procedures. The CAC meets quarterly.

All CAC meetings are open to the public. To be informed about upcoming meetings and other CAC issues, sign up to the mailing list.
