A subcommittee of the Citizen Advisory Committee and the Hudson-Harbor Educators Work Group, this subcommittee meets monthly to help develop recommendations for how organizations working on environmental issues and the funders who support them, can increase diversity, equity, inclusion and justice within their organizations across the Harbor Estuary. The subcommittee’s goals are to establish a rigorous and safe space to share ideas, ask questions, and challenge ourselves regarding DEIJ; and facilitate discussions and actions around key issues and solutions to advance DEIJ initiatives throughout HEP’s work groups, committees, and partner organizations.
